Pinhole Experiments, Part 1
I was checking out toy cameras and instant film and decided that a pinhole instant camera would be a little badass. It would also get me off the computer from time to time.
Picture one is a control picture. This is a developed film with no exposure (mostly I was figuring out how the @#$% to even develop these things). The second group, ‘pinhole too big!’ yielded super blurry images. The plus of a large pinhole is that exposure time is much lower, which I discovered in group three. They’re pretty…in an abstract sort of way.
I finally jacked up the exposure time (the last set are both around 5 min) and finally saw clear images! I need to work on my developing technique, however…
I’m currently using a hershey chocolate container painted black and frankensteined with tape and Instax mini film. I’ll post more about making the camera, determining f-stop and processing after I’ve gotten the development down.
